The win went to Johnson(6-1) who allowed 3 runs in the game. Juan

4th of the season) in the 8th inning. Verona Ridge had many opportunities
throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings.

The General Motors offense proved no trouble in the 9th.

The losing pitcher was Chief Bender(1-7). He got hit pretty hard, allowing 11
hits and 4 walks in 8 innings. Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance of
Walsh - except General Motors. Eeyore lamented, 'He just was 'on' this
afternoon. He was keeping our guys off balance all game. A fine game by a
good strikeout pitcher - makes it a fun game for the hometown fans -
unfortunately we were the visitors!'
